The first general meeting of members (inaugural ceremony) of the Longgang Glasses Chamber of Commerce in Shenzhen's Longgang District on March 29th, along with the 2024 Spring Tea Symposium of the Shenzhen Glasses Industry Association, was a significant milestone event. It not only marked the official establishment of the Longgang Glasses Chamber of Commerce but also heralded deeper cooperation between the Shenzhen and Longgang District glasses merchant associations in terms of resource integration and enterprise services, jointly initiating a new chapter in the development of the Shenzhen glasses industry.
Embarking on a New Journey
On the afternoon of March 29, the election conference was opened with the solemn national anthem. Huang Shaoqing, member of the Party Leadership Group and full-time vice chairman of the Federation of Industry and Commerce of Longgang District, read out the Approval on the Candidates of the First Council and Supervisory Committee of the Eyewear Chamber of Commerce in Longgang District, Shenzhen. The conference reviewed and approved some important documents, including the Preparation Report of the Eyewear Chamber of Commerce in Longgang District, Shenzhen, the Constitution of the Eyewear Chamber of Commerce in Longgang District, Shenzhen, and the Election Measures of the Eyewear Chamber of Commerce in Longgang District, Shenzhen. Then the conference conducted a secret ballot election with a certain quota.
At this meeting, a new leadership team for the Chamber of Commerce was elected, with Mr. Chen Qiupeng, Chairman of Shenzhen Jimei New Materials Co., Ltd., assuming the role of president. As a leading enterprise in the industry, Mr. Chen's election undoubtedly injects new vitality and momentum into the Chamber of Commerce.
In the future, Jimei New Materials will work together with the Shenzhen Glasses Industry Association and the Longgang Glasses Chamber of Commerce to promote technological upgrades, quality improvement, and market expansion in the glasses industry, jointly scripting a new chapter of innovation and development for the industry and contributing to its sustainable development.

At the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Hou Hai, a member of the Shenzhen Federation of Industry and Commerce Party Group and a second-level inspector, Mr. You Yu, a member of the Longgang District Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, Ms. Li Hongmei, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Yuanshan Street, Mr. Lin Yitao, Party Secretary and Director of the Longgang District Bureau of Science and Technology Innovation, Mr. Li Ziliang, Party Secretary and Director of the Longgang District Civil Affairs Bureau, Mr. Hu Guoguang, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of Longgang District and Party Secretary of the District Federation of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Nie Xiaochun, a member of the Party Group of the Longgang District Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and a second-level researcher, Mr. Chen Yanrong, a member of the Party Group of the Longgang District Bureau of Justice and Deputy Director, and President Chen Qiupeng jointly took the stage to inaugurate the establishment of the Longgang Glasses Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Chen Qiupeng, Chairman of the Shenzhen Glasses Industry Association, the Longgang Glasses Chamber of Commerce, and Jimei New Materials, stated in his speech that through the integration and development of the two associations, they will better integrate industry resources, lead practitioners in the glasses industry to develop and progress together. At the same time, the two associations will fully leverage the support of the municipal and district governments, play the role of bridge and link between the municipal association and the district chamber of commerce, and enhance the global industry competitiveness of enterprise products.
Mr. Hu Guoguang, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of Longgang District and Party Secretary of the District Federation of Industry and Commerce emphasized that after the establishment of the district glasses chamber of commerce, it should develop the chamber's business well, serve member enterprises well, and promote industrial revitalization and development well. He also hopes that entrepreneurs in the glasses industry will continue to maintain confidence, forge ahead with determination, and continue to gather formidable strength for the high-quality and innovative development of Longgang District.
Mr. Hou Hai, a member of the Party Group of the Shenzhen Federation of Industry and Commerce and a second-level inspector, expressed that the glasses industry is an important part of Shenzhen's fashion industry and holds a significant position in the global glasses industry. He hopes that the Shenzhen Glasses Industry Association and the Longgang District Glasses Chamber of Commerce will strengthen ideological and political guidance; accelerate the development of new productive forces to promote high-quality development; enhance the confidence of member enterprises in development; strengthen brand building; and vigorously cultivate industry leaders. The Shenzhen Federation of Industry and Commerce will provide strong guarantees for the association to better play the role of bridge and link and assistant, guide private enterprises and entrepreneurs to correctly understand the policies of the central government, enhance confidence, lighten their loads, boldly develop, and continue to promote the accelerated development of new productive forces and lead and serve the vast number of enterprises to achieve high-quality development.
